About Me

Coach Massie fitness program creator with kettlebells.I’m a certified personal trainer with a degree in health sciences. I’ve been helping people lose fat fast and get in shape since 1996. I’m also the creator of the Fighting Fit Boot Camp™ program and the Fighting Fit Kickboxing Fitness Program™.

I started working out when I was a high school student. I was (and pretty much still am) a Bruce Lee nut. I was heavily involved in martial arts, and after reading Bruce Lee’s Fighting Method and The Tao of Jeet Kune Do I got into weight lifting and running as a way to increase my fitness level like Bruce Lee advocated in his written works.

As the years progressed, I started teaching martial arts, and eventually opened my own schools. I became certified as a personal trainer shortly thereafter, and started teaching Billy Blanks-style fitness classes as an adjunct to my regular martial arts classes. Soon, I decided that I hated doing that type of workout, and began traveling to seminars and certifications to learn other methods of teaching group classes.

With my background in martial arts and the military, I leaned heavily toward functional fitness methods. This had a tremendous impact on what I kept in my personal fitness arsenal and what I threw out. I wanted to get results for myself and my clients, and I wanted a body that could take punishment, not just look good on the beach (although that doesn’t hurt!)

This led to my getting heavily into nutrition and supplementation, as well as refining my approach to exercise further in order to overcome the physical issues I was having.

So, the information and educational programs I share today reflect my unique experiences and perspective on fitness and health. What more can I say about it except that this stuff works, if you work it. I’m living proof.

Besides that, I can tell you that if you are struggling with achieving your weight loss and fitness goals, stay the course. Stay strong and focused, and keep pressing forward – there’s always a way through.
